Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced the reopening of bookings for the Innova Hycross ZX and ZX (O) grades, starting from August 1, 2024. Since its debut in November 2022, the Innova Hycross has been well-received by customers, admired for its SUV-like proportions combined with the spaciousness of an MPV. The model is available in both self-charging strong hybrid electric (SHEV) and gasoline variants and is praised for its stylish design, advanced technology, comfort, and safety features.
Due to overwhelming demand, TKM had previously paused bookings for the top-end variants. However, during this period, other grades of the Innova Hycross, including both hybrid and gasoline options, remained available for booking. With improved supply chain efficiencies and reduced waiting times, TKM has now resumed bookings for the high-demand top-end models.
Mr. Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Used Car Business at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, expressed excitement about the announcement: “We are delighted to reopen bookings for the top-end grades of the Innova Hycross, ZX and ZX (O), from August 1, 2024. This move underscores our commitment to providing a diverse range of products that cater to our customers’ preferences. The Innova Hycross has garnered significant acclaim for its unmatched comfort and cutting-edge technology. With its strong hybrid electric system and robust design, it sets a new standard in the market. We are grateful for the strong support and trust our customers have placed in this model.”
He added, “We appreciate our customers’ patience during the temporary halt in bookings and apologize for any inconvenience caused. We believe that reopening bookings for the Innova Hycross top-end grades will enhance our customers’ driving experience and meet their mobility needs.”
The Hycross is available with a 2-litre petrol engine. Customers can have this engine with a strong-hybrid system as well. Without electrification, the Hycross makes 174PS and 205 Nm, matched to a CVT. The strong-hybrid combination belts out up to 186 PS matched to e-CVT (single-speed transmission).
The Highcross is the premium Innova as Toyota likes to call it and hence it comes loaded with a long list of features. This includes the likes of a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, a digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and second-row powered Ottoman seats. In terms of safety, we get up to six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, and radar-based ADAS
