Toyota is recalling the Land Cruiser LC300 in the Indian market. The recall of the LC300 pertains to a to a fault in the transmission ECU. Toyota will be rectifying the problem through a software update on the ECU. The software update on the ECU is being offered without any cost to the customer.
In addition to this, customers can also continue to use their vehicle until the software has been updated. Owners of the vehicles under recall will be contacted by Toyota, to bring the vehicle to the nearest service centre. In total, 269 units of the LC300 luxury SUV built between 12th February 2021 and 1st February 2023 have been affected by the recall.
Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 – Technical Specifications
Powering the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is a 3.3-litre V6 cylinder turbo diesel engine. The engine produces 304 Hp of power and 700 Nm of torque. The engine is matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission and features an All-Wheel-Drive system.
In terms of size, the luxury SUV measures 4985mm in length, 1980mm in width and 1880mm in height. The SUV gets a 2850mm wheelbase and a fuel tank capacity of 110 litres. The Land Cruiser LC300 features Adaptive Variable Suspension with Pitch & Bounce Control and rides on 20-inch alloy wheels.

The Land Cruiser LC300 comes with features such as 40:20:40 Split Rear Seat with recline and 8 Way Power Adjustable Front Seat. The SUV also comes with 4 Zone Automatic Air Conditioning System and Green Laminated Acoustic Glass. The brand offers 31.24-cm Infotainment Display with 14U JBL Speakers and Head Rest Mounted Rear Seat Entertainment system.
In addition to this, safety systems include 10 airbags, Vehicle Dynamic Management, Panaromic View Monitor and a Head Up Display. The LC300 also comes with Crawl Control with Turn Assist, Brake Assist and Downhill Assist Control enhancing the safety of the occupants.
