Toyota could be planning to introduce the RAV4 SUV in the Indian market and the Japanese brand could be evaluating the vehicle for the Indian market as a test mule is undergoing testing on Indian streets. The Toyota Rav4 SUV comes with a hybrid engine and a Plug-in hybrid engine but the brand is likely to bring the former powertrain to the Indian market. While the badging is not completely visible in the spy shots, powering the test mule could be the A25A-FXS series 2.5-litre petrol hybrid engine producing 218 Hp of combined power and 221 Nm of torque. The electrified powertrain comes with a Dynamic Force Electronically controlled CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). In the international market, the car also comes with an all-wheel drivetrain.

The Rav4 comes with an imposing front grille with geometrical features, sweptback headlamps with trapezoidal wheel arches, large alloy wheels, a sharply raked rear with a spoiler that integrates with the tailgate, wraparound tail lamps, a chunky bumper applique and twin exhaust pipes with chrome finish.
The Toyota Rav4 features a multi-layered dashboard, control mounted steering wheel, an analogue instruments cluster with digital MID recessed into the dash, a free-standing centrally mounted touch screen infotainment system, a chunky gear selector, automatic climate control, contoured seats, and a lot of intelligent storage spots.
