Toyota opens 1st Regional Stockyard in North India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) recently announced the inauguration of its first regional stockyard at Farukhnagar in Haryana. To ensure a leaner and more efficient distribution network across the region this strategically located stockyard will come in handy. It aims at reducing delivery time from the current 6-8 days to a maximum of two days. This is for dealers in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Jammu & Kashmir.

Faster Deliveries For Northern India

This development by TKM will also benefit customers in the region who will now have faster access to their favourite Toyota vehicles. As this regional stockyard will ensure deliveries in the shortest possible time to dealers. The five-acre stockyard has a parking capacity of 900 vehicles, and is the second such for TKM, following the launch of its first regional stockyard in Guwahati in 2020. TKM mentioned that the regional stockyard in Guwahati has majorly benefitted the dealers and customers in the Northeastern region of India.

Moreover, the Farukhnagar stockyard will aid in speed, flexibility, cost reductions and more importantly CO2 reduction. As the dispatches from the TKM plant to the stockyard will be maximised through train journeys. Currently, 60 per cent of total TKM dispatches take place through trains. The target is to increase the same to 80 per cent while being able to deliver 5,000 vehicles per month.
