Toyota has hiked the prices of the new Innova Hycross by INR 75,000. Alongside, the Japanese carmaker has also introduced a new variant. The VX (O) trim of the Hycross will be available in both 7 and 8-seat configurations. The 7-seater is priced at INR 26.73 lakh while the 8-seater will set you back by INR 26.78 lakh.
What’s new in the Toyota Innova Hycross VX (O)?
This new variant has been positioned between the VX and the ZX versions. Coming to features, the Toyota Innova Hycross VX (O) comes with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, LED fog lamps, and wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity. The car also gets 6 airbags.
Overall Toyota has given the Innova Hycross an SUV-like appearance. It gets a large, upright grille with a high bonnet line and body cladding all around. The hexagonal grille gets a gunmetal finish while the chrome surrounds further add to the touch. The MPV also gets big, stretched-out headlamps, perfectly resembling the ones in the Fortuner.
Price hike of the Toyota Innova Hycross
This is the first price hike of the car. He Hycross is now dearer by INR 25,000 for the petrol models while the hybrids have got a price hike of INR 74,000. Now, the base Innova Hycross G 7-seater has a sticker price of INR 18.55 lakh while the top end ZX (O) costs a whooping INR 29.72 lakh.
Powertrain of the Toyota Innova Hycross
The Toyota Innova Hycross is offered with a choice of two engine options. The first is a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor good for 172 BHP and 197 Nm of peak torque. The second is a strong-hybrid version with a 2.0-litre petrol engine and Toyota’s 5th gen hybrid technology. The combined output of the powertrain is 182 BHP. Both engines are paired with a CVT transmission that sends power to the front wheels. There is no diesel engine on offer.
