Adhering to the Customer-First philosophy, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) recently announced its foray into the CNG segment. Thus, customers now have more options in both the Toyota Glanza as well as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder model line-up. With fuel prices rising high, CNG is becoming increasingly popular in the market. We saw recently Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki taking massive interests in the CNG domain, with a slew of new launches. And now Toyota has also entered the segment with the CNG versions of Glanza and Urban Cruiser. The Toyota Glanza, which was launched earlier this year, is now available with a CNG variant. Toyota is selling two trims namely, S & G grades, along with a Manual Transmission powertrain.
The introduction of CNG grades for the Toyota models will further enable TKM to attract more customers. In fact, it will also enhance its range of sustainable vehicle technology offerings with more eco-friendly & economical options for customers to choose from. All of this together will cater to a varied range of mobility needs of Indian consumers. Toyota talked about its aim to serve the needs of the market with a clear focus on customers’ aspirations. Thus providing viable products and services to our customers is a key step. With this vision in mind, TKM forayed into the CNG segment.
With these latest additions, TKM aims to offer its customers more options in the market to choose from. This further asserts the brand’s philosophy of ‘Mobility for All’. The customers will make the most of their vehicles with low cost of ownership under the ‘Peace of Mind’ initiative, that Toyota vehicles offer. All of this will up and offer its customers ‘Mass happiness to all’.
The CNG variant in the Toyota Glanza uses the same ‘K-Series Engine’ with a Manual Transmission powertrain. Thus it is the same 1,200-cc engine capacity that makes a power output of 57 KW (77.5 PS). The E-CNG Glanza comes with a claimed mileage figure of 30.61 KM/KG. The prices for the Toyota Glanza with E-CNG Technology start at INR 8,43,000 (ex-showroom) which is for the G trim. Meanwhile, for the S trim, TKM has put on a sticker price of INR 9,46,000 (ex-showroom). Bookings for the Glanza E-CNG trim are now open across all Toyota dealerships in India.
