The Fortuner is one of the top SUVs in India in terms of capabilities and road presence. Moreover, its Legender variant offers additional design and comfort features that are loved by premium customers. One of the top functionalities of the Legender variant is its 4X4 drivetrain that offers go-anywhere capability.
However, customers who bought the Legender 4X4 had only one transmission option, i.e. the 6-speed torque converter automatic, until now. The company has now introduced a 6-speed manual gearbox option to the 4X4 variant, making it more accessible.
The launch price of this variant is Rs 46.36 lakh (ex-showroom), which is considerably lower by Rs 1.76 lakh than its automatic counterpart. Hence, the 4X4 Legender will now be accessible to customers who either specifically want an MT gearbox or get chauffeur-driven more.
The Legender variant offers a distinctive set of LED headlights, a piano black grille with a honeycomb design, sporty bumpers, and 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. On the inside, it comes loaded with tan brown leather upholstery, electric seats with ventilation, an 11-speaker JBL sound system, ambient lights, and more.
The Fortuner Legender is powered by a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine that makes 201 bhp and 420 Nm of peak torque. It has a 4X4 drivetrain that is accessible through a shift-on-fly button on the center console.
