Toyota has once again made headlines by increasing the price of its popular Innova Hycross MPV in India. The price hike, which took effect in December 2024, ranges from INR 17,000 to INR 36,000 depending on the variant.
Toyota has not officially cited any reasons for the price increase. However, industry experts speculate that it could be due to rising production costs and the need to balance demand and supply. Despite the hike, Toyota remains confident in the Innova’s strong market presence and customer loyalty.
The revised prices for the Innova Hycross now range from INR 19.94 lakh to INR 31.34 lakh (ex-showroom). The base GX and GX (O) trims have seen a modest increase of INR 17,000, while the top-end ZX and ZX (O) variants have experienced the maximum hike of INR 36,000.
The Innova Hycross is available in six trim levels: GX, GX (O), VX, VX (O), ZX, and ZX (O). Each variant offers unique features, catering to diverse customer preferences. The MPV boasts a 2.0-litre petrol engine with or without a self-charging hybrid setup, delivering up to 183.7 bhp and a fuel efficiency of 23.24 km/l.
Customers have mixed feelings about the price hike. While some are disappointed, others believe that the Innova’s reputation for reliability and comfort justifies the increase. Many loyal customers are willing to pay the extra amount for the peace of mind that comes with owning a Toyota.
Despite the price hike, the Innova Hycross continues to be a strong contender in the premium MPV segment. Its blend of luxury, performance, and advanced features makes it a favorite among chauffeur-driven customers and families alike. Toyota’s decision to increase the price reflects its confidence in the Innova’s enduring appeal.
