Toyota Kirloskar Motor has recalled 119 units of the Camry sedan manufactured between March – July 2011 in India.
This recall has been issued to rectify a defect in the cars front suspension setup. It is a part of the global recall which has affected a total of 1.7 lakh Camry sedans.
Customers will be contacted by authorised dealers directly and Toyota will fix the problem free of cost. Toyota claims that there has been no complaint regarding this issue till date and they themselves are proactively moving forward to fix it.
Since SIAM asked companies to issue vehicle recalls for safety related issues in India, post July 2012, over 7 lakh vehicles have been recalled by various manufacturers.
