One of India’s upcoming electric two-wheeler startups, Tork Motors, has been spotted testing its forthcoming T6X motorcycle with camouflage. The company based out of Pune expected to launch the T6X e-bike in 2017 but has continued to miss its schedule. Over the years, the test mules of the upcoming T6X have undergone testing, with its spy shots being leaked. Enthusiasts managed to spot the T6X e-bike for the final time during its testing in March 2020.
Tork T6X: Test Mule DesignÂ
The recently spotted test mule showcased a design that closely matches the production version of the T6X e-bike. Based on the images, the e-bike now sports a triangular-shaped LED headlight unit that mimics the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200. The test mule also showcases a single assembly mid-section of the bike with a muscular fuel tank panel. With the panel extending towards the rear tail section, the bike sports other angular panels underneath the fuel tank. Finishing the overall look are the split-type seat, split-pillion grab rail, and a digital instrument cluster with an LED taillight.
Tork T6X: Technical Specs & FeaturesÂ
Tork Motors claims that the T6X will use an electric motor that uses Axial Flux technology which offers enhanced efficiency. With 90-96% claimed efficiency, the e-bike will offer 27 Nm of instant torque with a 100 kph top speed figure. Along with a riding range of 100 Km per charge, the bike will offer multiple utility storage spaces.
Tork has stated that its T6X bike will feature the TIROS (Tork Intuitive Response Operating System), which compiles rider data. This system will conduct an analysis of all the riding data to manage the power consumption and range on offer. Riders can also use the system to access ride modes to adjust the power, which includes Eco and Sport.
Tork Motors also states that it will offer new updates and features to the TIROS via OTA updates. The production version of the e-bike will also get a 4.3-inch TFT screen with turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth-based features. The brand claims that riders can charge the T6X bike from 0-80% in an hour using fast charging. Sources suggest that Tork will launch the T6X e-bike in the 1st half of 2022 at INR 1.25 lakh.
