Tork Motors has unveiled the new Kratos X e-bike and an updated version of the Kratos R at the Auto Expo 2023.
New Tork Kratos X e-bike Key Highlights
Kratos X e-bike is a more premium offering than its Kratos R. The new Tork Kratos X gets a slew of creature comfort features for the rider. This includes a 7-inch, touch-compatible, TFT dash and an aluminium swingarm. The motor will also have more power than the one on the Kratos R. Interestingly enough, Tork Kratos hasn’t mentioned how much. Noteworthy to mention it also gets a new FF (Furiously Fast) mode.
The Kratos X gets different side panels when compared to the Kratos R. But its production version is quite some time away. We understand this because the motorcycle shown at Expo was missing its subframe. Tork says test rides of the Kratos X will start in March, meanwhile, the deliveries will begin in June.
Updated Tork Kratos R Key Details
Alongside the new Kratos X e-bike, Tork also showed us an updated version of its Kratos R e-bike. But the updates are restricted to cosmetics only. As a part of this update, the Kratos R now features a blacked-out battery pack and a new dark blue colourway. The most noticeable change is the equipped new brand-new LCD dash. The layout and the graphics are also all-new. Meanwhile, the warning lights are now positioned in the blank space surrounding the main display unit.
Tork’s Road Ahead
Tork also talked about the release of a new portable charger. This can top up the battery as quickly as a home charger. Tork will also start offering accessory panniers on its e-bikes very soon. Tork Motors has also revealed that its new manufacturing facility will have a capacity of 60,000 units. The operations from this plant will start by Q1 2023. Originally, Tork had said it would make its presence in seven cities across the country by March 2023. But now that number has now been increased to 11. Currently, Tork retails its products in 4 cities namely, Pune, Satara, Hyderabad and Patna.
