Switch Mobility reveals leV series at Auto Expo 2023

Switch Mobility has unveiled the IeV range of commercial vehicles at the 2023 Auto Expo. These commercial vehicles are expected to cater to the increasing demands of last and mid-mile applications in India.

According to the company, there is an ever increasing demand for mobility solutions that are sustainable, especially in the last and mid-mile transportation. Hence, this is where Switch IeV comes in. The IeV will offer a payload of 1.2T to 4.5T range. The vehicle will be intelligent and offer connected technology Switch iON, which will offer remote, real-time diagnostics and monitoring.

The IeV will offer an all-electric range of up to 150 km, faster turnaround time and best-in-class cargo space. And all this in a highly reliable package.

Switch will continue to offer their electric offerings as well as new technology towards the support of cleaner and greener transportation solutions. The aim of the company is to provide more accessible, cleaner, comfortable and more efficient transportation solutions.
About Switch Mobility

Switch Mobility is an electric bus and light commercial vehicle company. The company came up from the EV elements of Ashok Leyland and Optare, a UK-based bus manufacturer. Back in 2014, they launched the first British-built all-electric buses for the roads of London. Since then, the company has over 400 units on the roads, clocking over 55 million electric km.

Switch Mobility’s investment

Switch Mobility has planned to invest over GBP 300 million across India and the UK. The investment is part of a strategic aim. Under this, the company aims to be the zero-carbon, public and commercial transportation leader.

The company expects to create over 4000 skilled jobs in the UK and India as a part of the investment. Furthermore, as a part of the investment in the UK, a new Technical Centre will be opened in Warwick in June 2022.
