Top 10 cars sold in India in January 2023

The sale charts are finally out for the month of January 2023. Now, we will list down the top 10 best-selling cars in India for January 2023. Following the trend, the top 3 positions have been occupied by Maruti Suzuki cars. These are Alto, WagonR and Swift. The first non-Maruti car on the list is the Tata Nexon. The sub-4-metre stands strong in 5th place. The other Tata product on the list is the Punch which occupies the 8th position. The first Hyundai on the list is the Creta. The SUV is in the 6th position. The Maruti Brezza takes up the 7th place. For the rest of the positions i.e., 4th, 9th and 10th, were taken by Maruti Baleno, Maruti Eeco, and Maruti Dzire.

Maruti Suzuki Sales Figures For January 2023

Maruti Suzuki has released its sales figure for January 2023. For the given, India’s largest carmaker retailed a total sales of 1,72,535 units. This figure stand is more than the same month in the previous year, i.e. January 2022. The domestic sales figure stood at 154,379 units. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki sold 3,775 units to other OEMs. In terms of international business, Maruti exported a total of 17,393 units for the given period.

Tata Motors Figures For January 2023

Tata Motors yet again puts on decent sales figures. With this figure, the carmaker is currently India’s third largest car maker. For January 2023, the carmaker sold a total sales of 47,990 units. This figure translates to an 18 per cent year-over-year growth from 40,780 units sold in Jan 2022. Month-over-month sales too increased by 20 per cent.

Hyundai India Figures For January 2023

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has updated its sales report for January 2023. HMIL retailed a total of 50,106 unit sales for the given month. This figure has increased from 44,022 units during the same period last year. The year-over-year sales growth stands at 14 per cent. The South Korean automaker is now second in the manufacturers’ volume table. Meanwhile, in terms of month-over-month growth, Tata Motors posted a healthy 29 per cent growth.
