The Tiago is a popular mass market hatchback, we all know that. It is seen in good numbers out on the street, and the brand now reveals that the Tiago has crossed the 2 lakh sales milestone. Launched in April 2016, the Tiago is now almost 3 years old, and a facelift version of this budget hatchback is on the cards.
Built on the Impact design philosophy, the Tiago clicked instantly with the potential buyers thanks to its new look which was unlike the round and ugly looking old Tata cars.
The Tata Tiago is sold in a petrol as well as diesel engine option. It also comes with a petrol+AMT combination for the urban jungle. Tata Motors has in all this time introduced special editions of the Tiago and there is also the Tiago NRG which poses as a crossover. Tata Motors also launched the Tiago JTP, which is a high performance version of this hatchback.
The Tata Tiago comes with City & Eco driving modes which allows drivers to have the car tuned to their liking when on the go. The petrol motor is a 1.2L Revotron unit while the diesel is a 1.05L Revotorq motor. Both engines get a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT is available on the petrol model.
