Techo Electra an electric mobility solutions company has launched a new electric scooter called Saathi at the price of INR 57,697 on road, Pune. The Saathi electric scooter is targeted towards delivery fleet operators who will be able to upgrade to clean, green energy vehicles for last-mile deliveries which are not only affordable to acquire and run but also reduces the overall carbon footprint.
The Saathi moped is equipped with a 48-Volt 26 Ah lithium-ion portable user-removable battery pack that delivers a range of 60 to 70 kmph on a single charge. The portable lithium-ion battery takes 3 to 4 hours to fully charge the battery and is estimated to use around INR 12 per charge.
The Saathi moped scooter features a Fast Charger, LED headlamps, central locking system, anti-theft alarm, smart repair function, front luggage basket and a rear luggage rack. The Saathi electric moped also comes with alloy wheels shod in tubeless tyres. The e-scooter also comes with telescopic suspension on the front and disc brakes on both the ends for stopping power.
The Saathi electric moped features a unique design with a square headlamp unit with a satin silver bezel, split front apron with a wide basket, body-coloured fenders, a generous footboard, upright handlebars, single seating etc.
The Saathi electric moped weighs 50 kgs without the battery and measures 1720mm in length, 620mm in width and 1050mm in height. The electric moped comes with a one year warranty on the motor, controller, other manufacturing defects and a three-year warranty on the battery pack.
Apart from the Saathi electric moped, Techo Electra also offers three other electric scooters – Emerge, Neo and Raptor.
The electric scooter segment has seen a surge in sales in the Indian market as more individuals are opting for entry-level electric scooters as they help in automatic social distancing as compared to commutes by public transport.
