Tata Motors showcased its new range of trucks and buses in the alternative fuel segments. As India’s top commercial vehicle maker, it has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2045 for the commercial vehicle business.
The company showcased 14 new products in the commercial segment across the natural gas, battery electric, fuel-agnostic, hydrogen cell electric, and hydrogen cell ICE categories, covering a host of applications.
Tata Motors showcased the company’s new pickups, the Intra V2 Bi-fuel and Yodha CNG. Both of which will offer the highest payload and target multiple applications.
Tata Yodha CNG is a robust pickup truck that has the capability of carrying a higher payload. It also offers a faster turnaround time as claimed by Tata Motors. The equipped CNG tank ensures a range of 600 km. Yodha CNG also features bold styling with a metallic bumper and fender, thus giving it a striking personality. The pickup truck also features Tata Signature’s ‘Trust Bar’.
The equipped engine for the Yodha is a 2.2L motor. The performance rating reads as 100 PS and 240 Nm. The equipped gearbox is a 5-speed manual unit. The suspension system comprises of leaf spring on the rear and shock absorbers on the front.
Yodha CNG gets the highest-rated payload capacity of 1800 kg for CNG pickups. With the Longest load body length of 2650mm (8.7ft), this pickup is ideal for a host of applications. The equipped anti-roll bar at the front ensures stability and gradients and unlevelled roads.
The pickup truck also gets Gear Shift Advisor (GSA). The equipped Lubricated for Life (LFL) aggregates. In terms of safety the benefits from a host of features. This includes Side Under-Run Protection Device (SUPD) & Rear Under-Run Protection Device (RUPD), Battery cut off switch, and antiskid footstep.
The pickup truck also benefits from ABS, Cruise control, Blind spot detection, Immobilizer, a 7-inch infotainment screen, Steering wheel control switches, and Fleet Edge telematics. Tata Motors claims that this pickup truck is ideal for carrying Fruits and vegetables, agriculture products, industrial goods, poultry, fisheries, water bottles, dairy products and construction materials.
