Tata Punch drops idle start / stop feature from base variant

Tata Motors has made some alterations to the features list of the Punch. As a part of this feature shuffle, the idle start/stop function, which was offered as standard across all variants, is now available only in the Accomplished and Creative trims. With the rising input costs and a host of other factors. We understand Tata Motors went down with this decision in the interest of cost savings.

Mutilple Trims For Tata Punch

Customers can choose the Tata Punch from four available trims. These are namely, Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative. The sub-4 meter crossover from Tata Motors is also available in Kaziranga and Camo editions. These editions have a significant fan base in the country. And both the editions are selling in good numbers.

Apart from the changes mentioned above, Tata has not made any more feature deletions. Thus, the Punch comes equipped with a host of features. This includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, cruise control, and auto headlamps to name a few.

Tata Punch – Key Highlights

The Punch gets a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine. The power output of the engine reads as 84 BHP and 113 Nm. The engine is paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The availability of an automatic gearbox is a boon. Customers are increasingly getting aware of the convenience of owning an automatic. Thus, the demand for auto gearboxes is also on the rise.

With the growing number of cars in the market and increase in traffic jams. The automatic gearbox is a life savior. Thus, the sales of automatic trims are much higher in metro cities. Tata Punch with its 5-star safety rating provides the perfect proposition for first-time customers. The SUV-like stance gives it a dominating look. Meanwhile, the long list of features takes care of attracting new-gen customers.
