Tata Power has become prominent in India’s EV charging solutions sector. It has now introduced the EZ CHARGE card, an advanced RFID card that aims to revolutionise the EV charging experience for electric vehicle (EV) owners in the country.
The EZ CHARGE card offers a Tap, Charge, and Go functionality. Thus, allowing users to initiate charging sessions and make payments securely and seamlessly. By tapping the RFID card on the Tata Power EZ charger, users can start the charging process based on their preset recharge value. Once the charging is complete, EV owners can proceed with their journeys hassle-free.
Tata Power boasts an extensive EV charging infrastructure. The network comprises over 40,000 home chargers, 4000+ public and semi-public charging points, and 250 bus-charging points, covering 350 cities with a presence in 550 cities. The company also has plans to set up 25,000 additional charging points in the next five years, further contributing to the growth of the EV ecosystem in India.
Tata Power expressed its optimism towards this innovative offering. The EZ CHARGE card integrates RFID technology with its ChargePoint network. This will provide EV owners with a quick, simple, and easy charging solution. He also emphasised Tata Power’s commitment to collaborating with Tata Motors to accelerate EV adoption and promote sustainable mobility across India.

The EZ CHARGE Card can be purchased through the EZ Charge Self Care Portal for doorstep delivery or by visiting Tata Motors EV Dealerships. It retails with an affordable price tag, making it accessible to all EV owners, regardless of their vehicle brand.
