Tata is planning to launch the Curvv and Curvv.EV coupe SUV soon in the Indian market. While the brand already revealed the Curvv SUV Coupe concept at the 2023 Auto Expo and again at the Bharat mobility Expo 2024, the new teaser leads us to believe that the launch of the Curvv in both its ICE and Electric forms is imminent. While the teaser does not reveal much, but reports have suggested that the Curvv will come in the all-electric avatar first followed by the petrol and diesel powertrain options.
The Tata Curvv coupe SUV will be underpinned by the brand’s Gen2 platform. The new platform is capable of accommodating both electric as well as internal combustion engine powertrains. While the design language is likely to be similar to the Harrier, Safari and Nexon, the profile is likely to be completely new with a sloping roofline that lands far into the rear deck. In addition to this, the Curvv is also likely to come with a futuristic headlamp and taillamp design as well as premium features such as flush-fitted door handles. 18-inch alloy wheels along with a high ground clearance will not only make the Curvv coupe SUV practical but also make it appear sporty. The vertical headlamp setup along with roof rails and a shark fin antenna all add to the sportiness of the Curvv. On the inside, the Curvv is likely to come with a 12.5-inch infotainment, 10.25-inch instruments cluster and a plethora of features including automatic climate control, ventilated seats as well as safety features such as ADAS and multiple airbags.
The Tata Curvv.EV will compete with the likes of the MG ZS EV, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX as well as the Hyundai Creta EV which is also likely to be launched by next year.
