Tata Motors is currently in a good spot in the industry. The cars are good looking, the market is accepting them, and now this, a positive story of being SAFE. The popular Tata Nexon Compact-SUV has just scored a 4-star adult safety rating from Global NCAP. With a score of 13.56/17, the Nexon has got the safest rating compared to other Indian cars tested by Global NCAP. Of course, full marks would make it perfect.
For child safety, the Nexon scored 3/5 stars which is 25/49 points. Not the best here.
The Tata Nexon was crash tested at 64 kmph and the body shell integrity was declared as stable.
The Nexon is built with energy absorbing body structure made of high strength steel with reinforcements. It also has specific crumple zones to protect occupants. The Nexon comes with safety features such as dual airbags, seat belt with pretensioner, load limiter & crash0locking tongue. Pedal blockers are also available to prevent injuries to the feet. There’s ABS, EBD, ISOFIX, child safety locks, voice alerts and front fog lamps as well.
