Recent reports suggest that Tata Motors has discontinued the silver colour for Tata Nexon EV. Although, there’s no official statement about this from the company. But we understand that the limited demand for this shade might have compelled the company to take this decision. As of now, there’s no replacement colour announced for this shade. And the electric SUV continues to come in three colour options, namely, Glacier White, Signature Teal Blue and Dark Edition. Meanwhile, the ICE version of the Nexon does get a wider range of colours to choose from. Other than the colour discontinuation, we do not see any other change with the SUV.
With the growing demand for electric vehicles in the country, Tata Motors Nexon EV is perfectly leveraging the demand. The pricing of this SUV is what makes it so attractive, and the sales figures are a testimony to prove the same. Furthermore, Tata Motors is also offering an array of customer-centric offers to attract more customers. Tata Motors’s 8 years or 1.6 lakh km warranty on the battery and motor adds to the peace of mind of the customers.
In addition to this, to mitigate the only risk concerned with EVs, which is the range anxiety. Tata Motors has tied with Tata Power to enable a wide and robust charging infrastructure. The demand for EVs is rising, and days are not far when sighting an EV on the road will become much more common and less surprising.
To keep up with the other electric cars in the country, Tata Motors is reportedly working to increase the range of the Nexon EV. Sources suggest that the electric SUV will come with an upgraded battery pack. This will help the car compete against MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona in terms of driving range. In addition to this, Tata Motors is also planning to launch new electric vehicles in the country, thus expanding its share further in this segment.
