Tata Motors has launched the Nexon EV electric compact-SUV in India for an introductory price tag of INR 13.99 lakh. This is a One India, One Price strategy. The Nexon EV price tag is introductory and will be sold in XM, XZ+ & XZ+ Lux variants and the EV will be available across select showrooms starting from today. This it the brands first EV for the passenger car segment after the Tigor EV which was launched earlier for fleet operators & government sector. At this price, the Tata Motors Nexon EV is the most sensible electric car available on sale in India at the moment.

Tata Motors is offering 8 years / 1.6L km warranty on the battery and motor of the Nexon EV. The electric compact-SUV will be sold via 60 workshops in 22 cities across India and the brand will also offer door-step servicing for the Nexon EV. The brand will also offer 24×7 roadside and emergency assistance for the Nexon EV customers. Tata Power will have ~650 charging stations for public use by March 2021, and the Nexon EV customers will get preferential access to this. Home charging station will be installed by the brand on the purchase of the Nexon EV. The financial services for this electric SUV will offer a loan up to 8 years with lower interest rates.
Tata Motors will be offering the Nexon EV in Teal Blue, Glacier White and Moonlit Silver paint options.
Noteworthy features on the base XM variant include automatic EV drivetrain, automatic climate control, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, cornering stability control, hill ascent & descent assist, keyless entry & push button start. The XZ+ variant of the Nexon EV will get all of the XM features along with dual tone roof colour, 16″ alloy wheels, 7″ Harman touchscreen infotainment, reverse parking assist & camera, leather wrapped steering wheel, front fog lamps with cornering function & wearable key. The XZ+ Lux variant will come with all the XZ & XZ+ features with additional powered sunroof, leatherette seats, automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers.
