Establishing yet another feat in the passenger car safety, Tata Motors has received a 5-star rating for its 45 kWh variants of the Nexon EV. Check out the complete details below.

The latest testing of the Nexon EV was done over the top-spec Empowered+ LR variant. This variant is equipped with 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, ESC (electronic stability control), hill hold and hill descent control, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, and an ISOFIX child seat.
Earlier, the 30 kWh version was tested by the BNCAP, which also received a 5-star crash test rating. Now, with the 45 kWh LR (long-range) variant achieving the same, the complete Nexon EV lineup is now 5-star rated.
As per the BNCAP report, the electric SUV scored 29.86 points out of 32 for the AOP (adult safety). Additionally, in both the front barrier deformation test and the side barrier deformation test, the car achieved 14.26 out of 16 points and 15.60 out of 16 points, respectively.
For the child occupant safety, 23.95 points out of 24 points were received for the dynamic test result. Moreover, for the 18-month and 3-year-old child dummies, the side barrier test result was a full 4/4 points.
The 2025 Nexon EV is available in two different range versions: a 30 kWh and a 45 kWh. The price range of the electric Nexon starts from Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and reaches up to Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
