Earlier this year, a test mule of the upcoming Tata Nexon facelift were spotted. Despite the camouflage, some details were observable. Now, according to a media report, the Nexon facelift could be the third car in the Tata lineup to get ADAS tech.
Recently, Tata launched the new Safari and Harrier with ADAS technology. This system offers features like lane change alert, high beam assist, lane departure warning, door open traffic alert, rear cross traffic alert amongst others.
Active safety features like forward collision alert, rear collision alert and most importantly autonomous emergency braking is also available thanks to the ADAS system.
Further, apart from the ADAS tech, the new Nexon facelift will also come with a new steering wheel. It is said the inspiration behind this steering wheel was the one based on the Tata Curvv concept. Tata could also offer some exterior changes on the Nexon facelift.
Tata could also offer the updated 1.2-litre engine. This new turbo petrol motor is of the new gen and Tata announced the same back in the 2023 Auto Expo. In terms of power output, this new engine will develop 123 BHP and 225 Nm.
The 1.5-litre diesel engine could also be offered as an option. Transmission options are likely to include 6-speed automatic and AMT gearboxes.
Tata Motors recently announced a new production milestone. The Indian carmaker announced the roll out of the 5 millionth vehicle. The first car to be manufactured by the Tata Group was the Sierra back in 1991. Now the company manufactures cars like the Tiago, Tigor, Altroz and SUVs like the Nexon, Harrier and Safari. The EV portfolio is strong as well with Tiago, Tigor and Nexon EVs taking the lead.
