India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, Tata Motors, set new benchmarks today in the country’s rapidly growing pickup segment. The company launched the new Yodha 2.0, Intra-V20 bi-fuel and the Intra-V50 in the country. These rugged new pickups come with a new design and offer the highest load-carrying capacity, largest deck length as well as longest range. Additionally, Tata Motors has equipped them with several modern features which are essential for a safe and comfortable drive.
Tata Motors says the company designed and engineered them to cater to a wide variety of rural as well as urban applications. The new launches are also ideal for serving the diverse mobility needs of the fast-growing agriculture, poultry and dairy sectors. Tata Motors says they are also ideal for the expanding delivery requirements of FMCG, e-commerce and logistics sectors.
Tata Motors claim each of these pickups offers the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) in their category. Thus, enabling customers to earn maximum profits. The company also commemorated the launch of the new pickups by delivering 750 of them to customers across India.
With its rugged aggregates, Tata claims the Yodha 2.0 can tackle the toughest of terrains with ease. This ensures seamless and faster cargo movement in remote parts of the country. The Yodha 2.0 also features a new updated design with rugged looks and Tata’s signature ‘Trust Bar’ and a new grille.
The Tata Yodha offers the highest-rated payload of 2,000 kg. Powering the pickup is a 2.2-litre diesel engine with 250 Nm of torque. This also allows it have the highest gradeability of 30 per cent. The Yodha 2.0 also features a metallic bumper and fender.
The Yodha is available in 1200, 1500, and 1700 kg rated payload options. Customers can also choose between 4×2 and 4×4 configurations as well as single-cab and crew-cab options. Pricing for the new Tata Yodha 2.0 starts at INR 9.99 lakh ex-showroom.
Tata Motors showcased the Intra V20, which is India’s first bi-fuel (petrol+CNG) commercial vehicle with a payload of 1,000 kg. The company claims the Intra V20 bi-fuel combines the robustness of the proven Intra V20’s capabilities with the lower operational cost of CNG. Thus, delivering more value for its customers.
Powering the Tata Intra V20 bi-fuel is a 1.2-litre bi-fuel engine. Tata claims the powertrain has a peak torque output of 106 Nm. Furthermore, Tata claims it offers a maximum range of 700 km.
Tata Motors claim the new Intra V50 sets new benchmarks in the segment with its high payload capacity, state-of-the-art cabin comfort, longest load deck and high ground clearance. Thus, it enables worry-free all-terrain operations in urban and semi-urban areas.
Powering the Intra V50 is a 1.5-litre diesel engine which offers 220 Nm of torque. The Intra V50 also offers the highest-rated payload capacity of 1,500 kg and the longest load body of 2,960 mm. Tata Motors has priced the new Intra V50 at INR 8.67 lakh ex-showroom.
