Tata Motors increases car prices by 1.1%

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Tata Motors India has announced a price hike across its range of products. With this, prices have gone up by up to 1.1 per cent depending on the variant and model. The price hike for Tata Motor’s range of products is effective from 23rd April 2022. Not just Tata, a host of other carmakers have also announced price hikes in the past few weeks.

The increase in prices of input materials along with the disruption in the global supply chain has led the manufacturers to hike the price of their products. Interestingly, this is not the first time this year that Tata Motors has hiked the price. The carmaker has hiked the prices of its range three times in the last four months. And hence going forward, we expect the price tag to remain for a while now.

A New EV From Tata Motors Will Arrive On 29th April

As per the latest reports, Tata Motors is preparing to launch an all-new EV. The carmaker has not shared any vehicle details, and we just know it is a ‘global unveil’. The chances are high that we could see the much-awaited electric version of the Altroz hatchback. Alternatively, Tata Motors is also working on an improved version of the Nexon EV. With the update, we could possibly see the Nexon EV with a 40 kWh battery pack. This will revamp the driving range to somewhat close to 400 km. There’s also talk of a more powerful 6.6 kW AC charger on offer.

Demand High For Tata Motor’s Product Range

In the last 3 to 4 years, the manufacturer has made an emphatic comeback in terms of sales volume. Blockbuster launches like Safari, Nexon and Altroz are attracting a wide range of audiences to the showrooms. Furthermore, Tata Motors has also established itself as the synonym for safe cars in India. This, too, plays a significant role in compelling customers to choose Tata over any other car maker. The ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative is also doing its bit to encourage Indians to opt for homegrown brands, thus the rising demand for Tata Motors.
