Tata Motors hikes Commercial Vehicles prices due to BS6 Phase II Emission Norms

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Tata Motors is all set to hike the prices of its commercial vehicle range. The increase will happen by 5 per cent with effect from April 1, 2023. Tata Motors mentioned compliance with the more stringent BS6 phase II emission norms for this price hike. So this price hike will apply to the entire range of Tata Motors CV.

Thus, Tata Motors prepares itself and its vehicle portfolio to meet these standards. With the updated emission norms, Tata Motors ensures customers and fleet owners with a range of cleaner, greener, and technologically superior offerings that deliver higher benefits and lower total cost of ownership.

Innovation Is The Cornerstone Of Tata Motors

Tata Motors also aims to bring new products that fire the imagination of GenNext customers. Given the brand’s state-of-the-art design and R&D centres located in India, the UK, the US, Italy, and South Korea. The focus is on engineering and tech-enabled automotive solutions catering to the future of mobility. Thus the company’s innovation efforts are mainly aligned towards the development of pioneering technologies. These will bring in sustainability as well as add to the evolving aspirations of the market and the customers.

Tata Motors Commercial Segment Sales Charts

In the 3rd quarter of FY23, Tata Motors’ domestic wholesales of commercial vehicles stood at 90.8 k units. Meanwhile, the global wholesales stood at 97.1K units which were down by 6 per cent year-over-year. The reason for the downfall was primarily because of weaker international business volumes.

Stringent Emission Norm Is A Great Move Ahead

With more stringent emission norms coming in, the automotive sector is all set to become cleaner and greener. This is a great move by the Government of India to push for carbon neutrality. Given the sheer number of vehicles on Indian roads, pollution is one of the key problems in today’s time. And tailpipe emission is often regarded as the key contributor towards pollution in the top metro cities. Thus, a stringent emission norm is a welcome move.
