Tata Motors clocked 24,552 domestic sales in May 2021

Tata Motors has released its latest sales report, i.e. for May 2021. The company sold a total of 24,552 units in the domestic market. And if we take the total sales, including that of the domestic and international market, the sales figure stood at 26,661 vehicles. In terms of month-over-month growth, compared to April 2021’s sales figure in the domestic market, the increase stood at negative 38 per cent. Given the current lockdown situation and rising cases on Covid-19, almost all the automotive companies are registering negative growth.

Tata Motors Extends Support To Fight Covid-19

The month of May was full of uncertain lockdowns as more and more Covid-19 cases came up. To help fight the deadly virus, Tata Motors had announced a slew of customer-centric measures. Due to the restricted movement of people, Tata Motors had announced the extension of the free service period and warranty options. This initiative aims to provide the customers with a flexible and peace of mind alternative. Tata Motors also shared some tips on how to take the utmost care of the cars in this lockdown phase. The company also came up with an ambulance version of the Winger, which will help transport the critical Covid-19 patients.

Recently few spy shots of Tata HBX resurfaced on the internet, making us believe that the testing is in the final stages. The car will follow the IMPACT 2.0 design language, which both the Harrier and Safari also follow. The micro SUV will underpin the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform, which made its debut in the Tata Altroz. As it stands, it looks likely that HBX will get a 1.2-litre petrol engine matched to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. Recently, Tata revealed that Nexon will now come up with a new set of alloys. The new five-spoke dual-tone colour unit replaces the eight-spoke one, which also looked great on the SUV.
