Tata Motors has announced a price increase. With this, the average price will increase by 0.6 per cent for their passenger cars. This is effective from July 17, 2023. However, they are offering price protection to customers. This is for the customers who book a Tata car before this date. Thus, allowing them to purchase the vehicle at the current prices instead of the revised, higher prices. The exact price increase will vary depending on the model, variant, and powertrain combination. Thus some models will experience a higher or lower price hike than the average.
One of Tata’s recent updates to its product lineup was the introduction of the Altroz CNG. Despite having a factory-fitted CNG kit, the Altroz CNG still offers a generous 210 litres of boot space. Thus making it the most spacious CNG hatchback in India in terms of cargo volume. This update had an impact on competitors, as Maruti Suzuki swiftly reduced the price gap between petrol and CNG variants of their hatchbacks from INR 95,000 to INR 90,000.
Tata Motors will most likely introduce its next car. This could very well be the Altroz Racer or the Punch CNG. The Punch is also likely to receive an electric powertrain option. We are expecting this to arrive by late 2023 or in the first half of 2024. Other major updates in Tata’s pipeline include the next-generation Nexon 2023 and mid-life updates for the Harrier and Safari. All of these will most likely hit within the current year. With a slew of product offers in the range, Tata Motors is experiencing a steep rise in terms of sales. With customers’ sentiments getting positive, Tata Motors has made an emphatic comeback in the Indian market.
