Tata Motors has bagged yet another deal to deliver an EV fleet, and this is the biggest of all. As part of this partnership, Tata Motors India will deploy 10,000 XPRES T EVs to BluSmart Electric Mobility. Tata Motors also confirmed that the deliveries will start very soon. Further, the order of 10,000 is in addition to the 3,500 XPRES T EV order signed by both the companies in October last year. These Xpres T EVs will have their presence across the country for the commuter, thus helping minimise the carbon footprint greatly.
With the demand rising high, Tata Motors is benefitting greatly from this. Being the country’s largest four-wheeler EV maker is something to boast about. Going forward, the carmaker has some big plans coming up for the future. We can expect Tata Motors to launch more EV models, which will attract a wider range of audiences. In the commercial segment as well, the story is pretty similar. With the effort of various state governments and the central government, the EV segment is heating up. Tata Motors has been a key player in the segment, thus showing a lot of positives for the future of the EV industry in India.
This electric sedan is a perfect fit for the commercial segment. There are two range options to choose from, 213 km and 165 km, and both are ARAI rated. Equipped battery packs are of 21.5 kWh and 16.5 kWh capacity, depending on the trim. Tata Motors claims a charging time of 90 mins or 110 mins to go from 0 to 80 per cent by using a fast charger. Moreover, there’s also the convenience of charging it using a standard 15A socket. In terms of safety, the sedan benefits from dual airbags and ABS with EBD as standard across variants.
