Renowned automotive manufacturer Tata Motors has announced the launch of their ‘Untamed Kaziranga Edition of SUVs’ for the Indian market. Inspired by India’s rich geographical and biological diversity, the SUVs will pay homage to the country’s great national parks. The Kaziranga Editions introduced by Tata Motors include the recently introduced Punch, Nexon, Harrier, and the Safari range of SUVs. Tata Motors will only offer the Kaziranga Edition on the top-spec versions of the aforementioned SUV via their authorised dealerships.
To commemorate the occasion of representing India’s geography and biological diversity, all Kaziranga Edition SUVs feature unique features and updates. All models from Tata Motors’ portfolio sport the exclusive ‘Grassland Beige’ exterior colour scheme along with a Piano Black, dual-tone roof. Additionally, the interior of the SUVs features the ‘Earthy Beige’ leatherette upholstery, a tropical wood dashboard, and ‘Earthy Beige’ -coloured inserts.
All SUVs also get the embossed outlined torso of two rhinoceroses facing each other on the front and rear headrests. Finally, Tata Motors has added a new Satin Black Rhino Mascot on the front fender of the SUVs. This mascot highlights the ‘Go Anywhere’ attitude of the SUVs offered by the company, along with their rugged toughness.
Based on its top-spec version, the Punch Kaziranga Edition costs INR 8,58,000 (ex-showroom) with the aforementioned updates. Meanwhile, the Kaziranga Edition Nexon Petrol and Diesel cost INR 11,78,900 (ex-showroom) and INR 13,08,000 (ex-showroom), respectively. Tata Motors aims to auction the Punch Kaziranga Edition for IPL fans, donating the proceeds to Kaziranga’s Wildlife Conservation.
Being one of India’s first micro SUVs, the Punch Kaziranga Edition gets exclusive interior and exterior details mentioned earlier. Some unique details include a Piano Black Humanity Line front grille, Granite Black roof rails, and 16-inch Jet Black Alloy wheels. Powering the Punch Kaziranga Edition is the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine with 86 PS and 113 Nm. Tata Motors will offer the Punch Kaziranga Edition in 4 trims- Creative MT, Creative MT-iRA, Creative AMT, and Creative AMT-iRA.
The Kaziranga Edition of the Nexon sub-compact SUV now sports ventilated front seats for the driver and the co-passenger. Additionally, Tata Motors has equipped the SUV with a new in-built air-purifier and an electro-chromatic IRVM for enhanced convenience. Meanwhile, the Nexon Kaziranga will feature all the new aforementioned details in two trims- XZ+ and the XZA.
To enhance the appeal of the Harrier Kaziranga Edition, Tata Motors has equipped the SUV with front ventilated seats. Along with an in-built air purifier and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the SUV also sports connected car technologies. This includes the iRA Connected Car Tech, Remote Commands, Located-Based services, Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, Live Vehicle Diagnostics, and Gamification. Tata Motors will offer the Harrier Kaziranga Edition with Jet Black 17-inch alloy wheels in XZ+ and XZA+ trims.
As the flagship of the Kaziranga Edition range, the Safari now sports Ventilated 1st and 2nd-row seats and wireless charging. Tata Motors has also equipped the three-row SUV with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with an in-built air purifier. Along with the same exclusive interior details as the other SUVs, the Safari gets Jet Black 18-inch alloy wheels. The automaker will offer the Safari Kaziranga Edition in 4 trims- XZ+(7-seater), XZA+(7-seater), XZ+(6-seater), and XZA (6-seater).
