Tata Motors has launched the Nexon Turbo iCNG in India, priced at an attractive INR 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This launch marks a milestone as the Nexon Turbo iCNG becomes India’s first turbocharged CNG passenger vehicle, setting a new benchmark in the automotive industry.
The Tata Nexon Turbo iCNG is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo bi-fuel engine, capable of running on both petrol and CNG. This engine delivers a robust 100 PS of maximum power and 170 Nm of peak torque. The vehicle is currently available with a manual transmission, with potential plans for an automatic variant in the future.
One of the standout features of the Nexon Turbo iCNG is its twin-cylinder technology, which optimizes boot space, offering a segment-leading 321 litres. The vehicle also boasts a 60-litre CNG tank, providing a mileage of 24km/kg.
The SUV comes equipped with advanced safety features such as leak detection, fire protection devices, thermal incident protection, and rear impact protection. Additionally, it maintains Tata’s reputation for safety with a 5-star safety rating.
Comfort and convenience are also well-catered for in the Nexon Turbo iCNG. The vehicle features a panoramic sunroof, leatherette ventilated seats, and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen by Harman. The fully digital instrument cluster and other premium features like wireless charging and a 360-degree camera enhance the overall driving experience.
With the introduction of the Nexon Turbo iCNG, Tata Motors aims to capture a significant share of the growing CNG vehicle market in India. The Nexon Turbo iCNG will compete directly with models like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza S-CNG, offering a compelling alternative with its turbocharged performance and advanced features.
