As the launch of the new Tata Nexon EV Max nears, the company has been dropping new teasers and hints. The company recently confirmed the name of the long-range model of the Nexon EV. In addition to this, the company also released three teaser videos that gave us glimpses of the exterior and interior. The company will launch the car on 11th May 2022. Although, some dealerships have started accepting bookings.
The company now has taken to social media to give us hints about the model’s battery range. Tata Motors posted how the new Nexon EV Max will be able to make a return journey between cities. Tata’s examples are Mumbai to Pune, Gandhinagar to Vadodara, Delhi to Kurukshetra, Chennai to Puducherry, Ranchi to Dhanbad and Bengaluru to Mysuru. All the two cities mentioned are about 150 km apart. Hence, the company hints at a claimed range of 300 to 350 km.
From the previous teasers released by the company, we know quite a lot already. We know from the trailer videos that the Nexon EV Max will look largely the same as the regular Nexon EV. The changes to the Max will be limited to a new 5-spoke alloy wheel on the exterior.
The interiors are where the biggest updates will happen. The Nexon EV Max will get a new illuminated drive mode selector with a knurled rotary dial. The dial will also get a screen on top, which will indicate the mode the car is currently in. Additionally, it will get an Electronic Parking Brake and Auto Hold functionality. The videos also show buttons for the adjustable regenerative braking levels. However, the teasers reveal the Nexon EV Max will use the same instrument cluster design.
