Tata Motors has announced a price hike for Tiago and Tigor, which make both the titles costlier by up to INR 15,000. The price for the base trim of the petrol and CNG model sees a price hike of INR 15,000. At the same time, all the other variants of Tiago will now retail with a price bump of INR 12,000. Post the price hike, Tata Tiago’s range starts from INR 5.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
As for the Tigor, the prices now start from INR 5.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices for all the variants, excluding the base XE trim, have seen a price hike of INR 12,000. And for the XE trims, customers will now have to pay INR 15,000 more.
Tata Nexon EV Max – What We Know So Far
After so much speculation about the long-range version of the Tata Nexon EV, we now have some official teasers. Recently, Tata Motors India confirmed the name of the vehicle as Tata Motors EV Max, justifying the longer expected driving range. As it stands, the EV will get a 40 kWh battery that might deliver a range of 350 km or so. Additional features could include cruise control, ESC and rear disc brakes. From the exteriors, there are not many changes, but one thing that stands out is the new 5-spoke alloy wheels. On the inside, we get to see more noticeable changes. The notable ones include illuminated drive mode selector, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, adjustable regenerative braking levels and more.
Other Updates
In a recent report, there was a claim suggesting that Tata Harrier could get ADAS features. This is in line with a host of other recent launches, and days are not far when ADAS becomes a norm for cars in India. Tata Motor’s Xpres T is selling in good numbers. The electric Tigor for the commercial segment is racking up significant sales in the fleet segment. The demand for EVs is also rising day by day, and Tata Motors is currently the market leader in the Electric Vehicle space.
