Looks like Tata is gearing up for the mid-life update of the Tata Harrier. A car with some cosmetic upgrades and a few feature improvements has been spotted at a dealer yard. This could mean that the Tata twins of Safari and Harrier could soon be launched with these new features. The facelift versions of these cars are expected to debut at the 2023 Auto Expo in Greater Noida.
What’s new in the Tata Harrier?
As visible from the spy pics, the car gets red accents on the outside. These include the front grille and disc brake callipers.
On the inside as well the SUV comes with red touches. The seat gets red leather upholstery, as well as the door cards.
It looks like this is some limited edition or part of some year end offer on the existing Harrier. The spied car is not the facelift version which was recently spotted with ADAS features.
Tata Harrier and Safari Facelifts
While the red-highlighted cars are not the facelift versions, Tata is looking at launching the facelift version of the Harrier and Safari to take on the rivals who have more features. This means good news for the car buyer.
Changes in the cars include new front fascia including a new front grill, headlamps and bumper design. The cars could come with new design alloy wheels. The rear ends could get new bumper and tail lamps.
On the inside, the Harrier and Safari could get new instrument clusters and a bigger touchscreen infotainment system. Other upgrades that Tata is likely to offer include new upholstery and some new connected car features.
That said, the powertrain of both the cars are not likely to change. They will continue to be offered with the 2.0-litre diesel engine and a choice of manual or automatic gearbox options.
