Tata Motors has announced that the brand has received the coveted Safer Choice Award from the Global NCAP (New Car Assessment Program), for the Harrier and the Safari SUVs. The Safer Choice accolade is only available to car manufacturers with the highest level of safety performance sold in India.
Tata Motors has been the pioneers of safety in the Indian market with its SUV line up having a complete 5-star all the way. Tata’s entire product portfolio has the highest rating for safety irrespective of the segment. Thanks to this, the brand has set new benchmarks for the passenger vehicle industry. The Indian car buyer has also become aware of road safety and safety features have become top priority when buying a car.
Tata recently introduces the new Tata Curvv coupe SUV in its ICE as well as EV avatar. The brand is also positive that the Curvv will score 5 star rating at the BNCAP. Like the Tata Harrier and Safari, the Curvv also comes with multiple active and passive features. These include 6 airbags, electronic stability control, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The car also comes with features such as a 360-degree camera, all-disc brakes, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.
Tata also revealed the detail of the Atlas platform which focusses on both safety and technology. The new Atlas platform features a continuous framework that is capable of absorbing abrupt changes in the load path, enhancing crashworthiness and safety. The platform features advanced technologies such as integrated cockpit-to-wheel controller and more. Tata also revealed that the Atlas platform can distribute the impact loads through multiple paths to ensure uniform performance.
