Tata Harrier infotainment updated with Apple CarPlay

Good news for Tata Harrier owners as Tata has given the 5-seater SUV an update on its infotainment system by adding Apple CarPlay. The Tata Harrier is a great SUV at a reasonable cost and was much-awaited in the India market. The Harrier XT which features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and the Harrier XZ which is the top-spec variant with an 8.8-inch touchscreen, both are now compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Harrier owners can get their software updated at Tata dealerships across the country.

The Tata Harrier comes with the stunning Impact Design 2.0, a split type headlight design with a bumper mounted projector headlamp and a dual function LED daytime running light and turn indicator above it mounted near the bonnet line which integrates with the front grille. The Harrier gets 3D LED tail lamps with piano black finishers, a shark fin antenna on top and 17-inch alloy wheels for the perfect SUV stance.

The interiors get a oak finish on the dashboard and leather upholstery along with leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob. It features a floating island touchscreen infotainment system, that now has the Apple CarPlay integration, and JBL sound system. The steering wheel has integrated controls and the instrument cluster features a 7-inch colour display.

The Tata Harrier built around a Land Rover D8 architecture and powered by a Kryotec, 1956cc, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that produces 140 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox. On the higher-spec variants, it has three drive modes and three terrain response modes for traction control.

Tata Harrier has a seating capacity of 5 people and has a boot space capacity of 425-litres. The Harrier competes with other SUVs in its segment like the Jeep Compass and Mahindra XUV500. The Tata Harrier is available in four variants and its price starts from INR 12.69 lakh to INR 16.25 lakh ex-showroom, Mumbai.
