Leaked ahead of its official launch, this is the Tata Harrier. This is the best image leaked till date revealing the entire rear profile of this upcoming SUV. First revealed as the H5X concept, the Tata Harrier bookings are now open for INR 30,000. The Harrier is all set to launch in the first quarter of 2019.
The leaked image looks like the Harrier was in process of crash tests. Since the Nexon has achieved a good 4-star rating, we can expect the Harrier also to fare well with most definitely higher safety specs to be on offer.
The leaked image reveals the following about the 2019 Tata Harrier:
- 5 spoke alloy wheels
- Flared wheel arches
- Floating roof effect
- Sleek LED tail lamps, rear skid plates
- Shark fin antenna
- Rear fog lamps
- Blacked out A, B & C pillars
- Body cladding
- Good ground clearance
Powering the Harrier will be a 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine. While this sounds cool, this is the 2.0L motor sourced from the Jeep Compass and the gearbox will be a 6-speed automatic unit from the Hyundai Creta. This engine is rumoured to produce close to 140 BHP of power. No official word out on the final specs yet. Most definitely, the Tata Harrier will come with driving modes – Eco, Sport & City.
