Rumours are that Tata is working on a facelift for the Harrier under the Q5MCE codename. The Tata Harrier received its first update two years back. According to the latest rumours, it could receive some major upgrades. The major upgrades could also include new ADAS features. Though the company is tight-lipped regarding the facelift, it will likely launch in early 2023.
The car’s exterior will likely get revisions to the front and rear. The front of the SUV will get a new fascia and radiator grille. The headlight clusters could also see new design elements. The rear of the car could get revisions to the taillights and the bumper. The facelift will most likely get a new alloy wheel design as well.
The interiors are expected to get a larger infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The seats will continue to use ventilation function. New and significant addition could be the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). To keep up with the offerings in its class, it could also get a 360-degree camera.
There will most likely be no changes to the engine. Hence, the Harrier will continue to use the FCA-sourced 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine. Although, according to rumours, Tata will introduce a new petrol engine. Reports say the petrol engine could be a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The petrol-powered Harrier could get a manual as well as an automatic gearbox.
