Tata displays Prima E.28K 0-emission tipper concept at Auto Expo 2023

On its journey to achieve sustainable, zero emission e-mobility solutions, Tata is working towards protecting the environment. One of the offerings from the company is the Prima E.28K 0 emission tipper concept. The truck was displayed at the 2023 Auto Expo.

Specifications of the Tata Prima E.28K

Prima E.28K is offered with a battery capacity of up to 452 kWh, which gives it an operating range of 150-200 km. It has a 245 kW traction motor which offers a massive torque of 2950 Nm at just 3,000 rpm. There is a 2 speed auto shift e-GBox that has a PTO provisions as well. The load area consists of a 18 cubic metre body that is suitable for many applications, including aggregates. 

The motor is a 6 phase permanent magnet motor with peak power of 245 kW and 2950 Nm of max torque. It has a 660 V DC battery power pack with 150-400 kWh capacities with a 230 Ah cell. There are dual CCS2 chargers.

The GVW of the Prima E.28K is 28,000 kg with a 44.15 percent gradeability at 28 tons and 28 percent at 40.4 tons.

Features of the Tata Prima E.28K

The Prima E.28K is a technologically advanced truck and as such, the feature list reflects the same. It gets a multi-information display, 7-inch infotainment, steering wheel with buttons mounted, projector headlamps with DRL and more. There are LED fogs as well as LED safety lamps – side repeaters, door ajar and pedal lamps. 

In terms of driver aids, the truck comes with Hill start assist, fleet edge advanced telematics, driver monitoring system, optional collision mitigation system, optional lane departure warning, TPMS and more.

The Tata Starbus Fuel Cell EV is the country’s first hydrogen fuel cell bus. It has been indigenously designed and developed by Tata Motors. The bus is aimed at fulfilling urban transportation needs. This modern, state of the art mobility offering will offer zero emissions and noise less operations.
