Tata Motors launched the Curvv.EV all-electric Coupe SUV and unveiled the internal combustion engine powered Tata Curvv Coupe SUV in the Indian market. The company is yet to reveal the price of the Tata Curvv ICE but, the specifications have been already unveiled. So, in this specifications comparison, let’s check out how the Curvv Coupe SUV stands up against the Tata Nexon.
The Tata Nexon comes with a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Revotron turbo-petrol engine producing 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. The Nexon also gets a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Revotorq diesel engine that produces 115 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque. The Nexon also comes with a 5MT, 5MT, 6AMT and 7DCA gearbox options on the petrol variant and 6MT and 6AMT on the diesel engine option.
On the other hand, the upcoming Tata Curvv ICE will come with two brand new engines in addition to the tried and tested Revotron engine from the Nexon. Powering the Curvv will be a new 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine that produces 118 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque.
The Coupe SUV also gets a new 1.5-litre Hyperion direct injection turbo-petrol engine that makes 125 PS of power and 225 Nm of torque. The Hyperion engine will come with a 350 bar fuel injection system Sodium cooled exhaust valves, variable geometry turbocharger, hydraulic cam phasing, Miller combustion chamber and more. Also, the Tata Curvv in its internal combustion avatar is likely to only get a dual clutch automatic transmission.
The Tata Nexon 3995mm in length, 1804mm in width and 1620mm in height. The SUV comes with a 2498mm wheelbase and gets 16-inch wheels. Also, the Tata Nexon features a 44-litre fuel tank and 382-litres of boot space. The Curvv on the other hand, measures 4308mm in length, 1810mm in width, 1630mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2560mm. The coupe SUV also gets a 44-litre fuel tank, but the boot space is a generous 500-litres. The Curvv also comes with 18-inch wheels.
