Engine and Performance

The Tata Curvv is built on Tata’s newly developed ATLAS platform, which will also be used in upcoming models like the Sierra, Harrier, and Safari facelifts. The Curvv offers three engine options:

  • A 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 120 hp and 170 Nm of torque.
  • A 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 118 hp and 230 Nm of torque
  • A new 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol ‘Hyperion’ engine delivering 125 hp and 225 Nm of torque.

All engines come with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, with the option of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT) gearbox. Notably, the Curvv is the only mass-market diesel car in India to offer a DCT gearbox.

The Tata Curvv’s key exterior features include:

  • Unique grille design with rectangular elements.
  • LED headlights and connected LED DRLs.
  • 18-inch alloy wheels.
  • Sloping roofline and flush-type door handles.
  • Gloss black body claddings and double-bubble roof spoiler.
