Tata Altroz racer hot hatch teased, coming soon

Tata Motors is planning to launch the sportier iteration of the Altroz hot hatchback in the Indian market. Ahead of its launch the brand has released a teaser image of the Altroz Racer. Expect the car to launch in June this year, with changes to its exteriors as well as interiors. Also, the Tata Altroz Racer is also likely to come with more equipment than standard and a turbo-petrol engine. However, the car is likely to remain dimensionally unchanged.

Tata Altroz Racer – Exteriors

At the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024, Tata Motors showcased the Altroz Racer with racing stipe graphics and a new red colour theme. In addition to this, the Altroz Racer is also likely to come with a black bonnet, black roof, black tailgate and black-out DLO section. The car will also get plenty of “RACER” badging. However, the alloy wheel design and size remains the same.

Tata Altroz Racer – Interiors & Features

On the inside, the Altroz Racer will come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment along with a 7-inch TFT digital cluster. The hot hatchback will also come with premium features such as Ventilated Seats, Voice Activated Electric Sunroof,  and Rear AC Vents. The also gets Projector Headlamps, LED DRLs, a Wireless charger and a Shark Fin Antenna. In addition to this, the exterior colourway also extends to its interiors and the Altroz Race will come with a colour matched interior theme including Leatherette Seats with Red and White Racing Stripes. The car will also come with 6-airbags as standard.

Tata Altroz Racer – Powertrain & Size

In the engine department, the Altroz Racer will come with a 1.2-litre 3-Cylinder Turbocharged Petrol Engine. The engine delivers 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. However, transmission details on the Altroz Racer have not yet been revealed. The car measures 3990mm in length, 1755mm in width and 1523mm in height with a wheelbase of 2501mm.
