Hero MotoCorp has unveiled its first maxi-scooter, the Xoom 160, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Priced at INR 1,48,500 (ex-showroom), the Xoom 160 is Hero's first maxi-scooter introduced in the Indian market. Hero Xoom 160 - Specs and Features The Xoom 160 is powered by a 156cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 14.6 BHP at 8,000 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The scooter features a CVT setup and an underbone frame for a balanced ride. It boasts a telescopic front fork and dual rear shock absorbers for enhanced suspension. The Xoom 160 comes with LED illumination, keyless operation, and a digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity. It offers features like call/SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and remote seat opening. The scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels with block pattern tires, giving it a rugged look. Practicality and Safety The Xoom 160 also includes a large under-seat storage compartment that can fit a full-face helmet, adding to its practicality for daily use. Additionally, the scooter features an external fuel filler cap, making refueling more convenient without the need to lift the seat. The front apron is designed with integrated turn indicators and a sporty look that enhances the overall appeal of the scooter. In terms of safety, the Xoom 160 is equipped with a combi-braking system (CBS) for better braking performance and stability. The front and rear disc brakes ensure effective stopping power, and the scooter also comes with side-stand engine cut-off for added safety. Hero MotoCorp's new offering is expected to attract young riders who seek a combination of performance, technology, and style in their daily commute. Colours and Competition Hero MotoCorp has positioned the Xoom 160 as a competitor to the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SR 160, aiming to bring more variety to the maxi-scooter segment in India.
