Volkswagen Golf GTI powertrain The Golf GTI is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, producing an impressive 265 PS and 370 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, sending power to the front wheels. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. It also features driving modes such as Sport, Comfort, and Eco, along with a front axle differential lock for enhanced handling. Different model for India? Visually, the Golf GTI stands out with its sporty design. The model spotted in India featured 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers. It also sports a honeycomb-patterned front grille with the iconic GTI badge. The rear showcases dual exhaust tips and a sleek diffuser, adding to its aggressive stance. Inside, the cabin boasts an all-black theme with tartan-patterned sport seats. The hatch also gets a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a fully digital instrument cluster. The Golf GTI comes equipped with advanced features such as adaptive cruise control, lane assist, emergency braking, and a 360-degree camera. These features, combined with its Euro NCAP 5-star safety rating, make it one of the safest cars in its segment. We expect the Volkswagen Golf GTI to be priced around INR 50 to 52 lakh ex-showroom.
