Bangalore-based EV manufacturer, Utraviolette has begun the next phase of testing for its F77 high-performance electric motorcycle in Karnataka. With over four years of testing and validation under its belt, Ultraviolette has started its #BeyondAsphalt series of road trips. The series aims to test the limits of the F-77 e-bike on India's various geographical landscapes and extreme terrains. The company aims to test the drivetrain, chassis, and battery capability of the F-77 across many quantitative and qualitative parameters. Beyond Asphalt Ultraviolette started the 1st phase of its #BeyondAsphalt road trip in the off-road trails of Chikmagalur, Karnataka. The video showcases the F-77 being put through its paces on the muddy, uneven, lush, and harsh terrains. Based on the testing procedures and adventures showcased in the video, the company has planned a complete #BeyondAsphalt testing series. With the first phase of testing done, the company promises to share the next chapter in the coming weeks. Ultraviolette F77 - Detailed Highlights The F77 high-performance motorcycle is Ultraviolette's debut EV for the Indian market, which uses technology inspired by the aviation industry. According to Ultraviolette, the F-77 can accelerate from 0-60 kph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 140 kmph. The company claims that the e-bike offers a 150 Km riding range on a full charge with remote diagnostics. Other unique features found on the bike include over-the-air (OTA) updates, regenerative braking, riding modes, and location tracking. Ultraviolette F77 - Technical Specifications Ultraviolette plans to offer the F77 with a choice of 3 variants- Airstrike, Shadow, Laser, and 3 Lithium-ion battery packs. With 4.2 kWh max capacity, the F77 produces 33.5 PS of power and 90 Nm of torque. The bike sports 17-inch wheels on both ends with inverted front forks and a 12mm rear monoshock spring. The F77 features a single 320mm disc brake with ABS and a 230 mm rear disc brake for braking performance. Recently, Ultraviolette was conducting an Advanced Performance test of a camouflaged, test mule F77 at an undisclosed airstrip. The video uploaded on YouTube showcases the bike being tested for its acceleration, stability, handling, and braking using sensors. The video includes rigorous stress, strain, and thermal testing of the brakes, callipers, handlebars, and chassis of the F77.
