The Toyota Hyryder, has achieved a milestone of selling 1 lakh units. Toyota’s Hyryder is a rebadged model of Maruti and was launched in September 2022. Toyota's Glanza hatchback, rebadged model of Maruti Baleno, was Toyota’s first rebadged model to reach the sales of 1 lakh units. Toyata Hyryder sales performance: Toyota Hyryder sales have increased to about 52 percent YoY to 36,220 units over the first seven months of the current fiscal year that is from April to October. This represents around one-fourth of Toyota's total utility vehicle wholesale sales of 1,47,351 units. Toyota introduced the Hyryder Festival Limited Edition in early October to capitalize on the excitement of the holiday season. Hyryder's dispatches increased by 114% (48,916 units) in the fiscal year of March 2024. The Toyota Hyryder performed well and came in sixth place in fiscal year 2024 among its competitors in the market such as Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Mahindra's Bolero, Bolero Neo, and Thar. In the first six months of fiscal year of 2025, Toyota Hyryder has bagged a total number of 30,771 units being sold, giving it a rank of 19 among the 20 top utility vehicles of India. Three rebadged Toyota models: Hyryder, Glanza, Taisor and Rumion have made a cumulative sales of 95,266 units between April and October, incorporating 53 percent of Toyota’s total PV sales of 1,78,372 units that is up to 31 percent Year-Over-Year. However, SIAM data showcased that the Hyryder is currently the best seller model of these four rebadged models with a total number of 36,220 units being sold in these months. Powertrain: The Toyota Hyryder was introduced in the market at a starting price of 11.14 lakh. The car comes in two petrol engine options: 1462 cc and 1490 cc and in three gearbox options: Manual, Automatic (TC) and Automatic (e-CVT). It has a ground clearance of 210 mm.
