In a significant move to enhance community welfare, Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), has launched a series of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects across Maharashtra. These initiatives, inaugurated by Shri Girish Mahajan, Minister of Rural Development and Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Maharashtra, aim to support the Art, Health, and Sanitation sectors. Art for Hope – Season 3: Empowering Artists The ‘Art for Hope’ initiative, now in its third season, is HMIF’s flagship arts program. This year, the initiative provided financial grants to 10 differently-abled artists from various parts of India, supporting their virtual upskilling in soft skills, art management, and personal branding. The two-day exhibition at the Bombay Art Society in Mumbai showcased the creative works of these artists, promoting inclusivity and sustainable income opportunities in the arts sector. The exhibition follows a successful display of projects by 40 grant winners at Triveni Kala Sangam in New Delhi earlier this year. The initiative not only supports artists but also their caregivers, aligning with Hyundai's global vision of 'Progress for Humanity.' Sparsh Sanjeevani: Enhancing Healthcare Access Under the 'Sparsh Sanjeevani' program, HMIF has launched five telemedicine clinics in Talegaon, covering villages such as Pait, Kadus, Wada, Navalak, Umbare, and Sudumbare. These clinics aim to bridge the gap between healthcare providers and patients in remote areas, providing essential medical consultations and services. With this addition, HMIF now operates 40 telemedicine units across India, with plans to reach 50 units nationwide. Additionally, two mobile medical vans have been introduced in Nagpur and Aurangabad districts. These vans are equipped with necessary medical facilities to offer diagnostics and treatment directly to underserved communities. Together, the telemedicine clinics and mobile medical vans are expected to serve over 1 million people in rural Maharashtra, significantly improving healthcare accessibility. H₂OPE: Ensuring Clean Drinking Water As part of the 'H₂OPE' project, HMIF has installed 100 water RO systems in schools across Gadhchiroli district. This initiative aims to provide clean drinking water to over 35,000 students, promoting better health and hygiene in the region's educational institutions.
