The recall is being done to update the software of the ICCU (integrated charging control unit). This unit is responsible for the charging and performance of the 12V auxiliary battery of the vehicle. The ICCU update is just a software update and Kia has already started to reach out to customers with the respective affected units. The update time is short and it will improve the performance of the vehicle along with its efficiency. Moving on, Kia has already announced the details of the recall as well as informed the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. All the affected cars belong to the pre-facelift batch sold.
