Aston Martin has showcased the next car in the DB line. The new DB12 will replace the DB11. According to the British brand, the DB12 is a super tourer that is the best DB model till date. The iconic British marque brand is known for its presence in the popular James Bond movie franchise. What's new in the Aston Martin DB12? The new DB12 is more of an evolution over the last DB11 rather than an all new design. When viewed side by side, we can see that the DB12 retains the silhouette of the DB11. In terms of overall design, the DB12 is much more muscular than the car it replaces. New feature changes include brand new headlamps, a larger signature Aston Martin grille and bigger wheels along with a larger track. What’s new on the inside of the Aston Martin DB12? On the inside, the changes as compared to the DB11 are more drastic. These include a modern 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, over-the-air updates and other connected car features. The super tourer also gets an 11 speaker music system as well as touch buttons on the centre console. Powertrain of the Aston Martin DB12 Coming to the engine, the new DB12 comes with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. This engine has been sourced from AMG and develops 671 HP and 800 Nm. Compared to the previous DB11, this is a 34-percent increase in power. Aston Martin has equipped the DB12 with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. According to the company, the DB12 can reach the 100 km/h mark from a standstill in 3.5 seconds while its top speed is 325 km/h. Pricing and Availability of the Aston Martin DB12 While the pricing of the DB12 has not yet been disclosed, the car is expected to go on sale in the overseas markets in the upcoming months.
